Work in Progress Wednesday 23/4/14

Good morning everyone, I hope you all enjoyed the long Easter weekend and were able to celebrate with family and friends.
Its wednesday again and that means its time to share my WIPW project. I have done quite well this week so I'm pleased with my progress.

I have also been making a start over the last few weeks with a quilt made out of hexagons which are paper pieced. This is definitely a long term project but hopefully if I managed to sew a flowers a week I will eventually get there

Why don't you pop over to Sharon's blog here and see the other WIPW projects

I must apologise for the poor photos but its a dull rainy day today and these are the best I can manage

Work in Progress Wednesday 16/4/14

Wednesday again and time to link up with Shairon on her blog here for another WIPW. Sorry for the no show on progress last week but I had my Mum staying and as I'm intending this piece to be a gift for her I wasn't able to do any cross stitch. Anyway she went home on Friday so I have managed to do some sewing this weekend and here is where I've got to.

I'm really pleased with how this is turning out and am looking forward to getting it finished which now is a real possibility

Card Group

On Saturday it was my card group day and we had a lovely time making two great cards that Sue had designed for us. The first was a man's card which is always so useful to have as I don't know about you but I always struggle so much with making a card suitable for the men in my family. The second one was a very pretty card for a lady

In the afternoon I managed to complete my Easter cards but I'll share those with you another day when I know they have been received

Birthday card

Today is our youngest daughters birthday and this is the card I made and sent to her, she is working and isn't able to be home for her birthday but I know she has received her card along with her part of her present. We still have to sort out the rest of it but need to do that when we see her which won't be for a little while yet but never mind its what happens when they grow up and fly the nest

Work in Progress wednesday 2/4/14

Well its Wednesday again ant time to link up with Sharon and her WIPW group. I haven't made as much progress this week as my knee is still very painful and due to the stronger analgesics my concentration isn't as good, I'm also very tired due to not sleeping well. Anyway this is where I am up to

Work in Progress Wednesday 27/3/14

Gosh its Wednesday again, where did last week go?
Sorry not to have blogged this last week but I was busy peppering for the Rainbows' sleep over plus getting upstairs to my craft room isn't easy just now so I'm spending more time sewing than normal

This is this weeks progress on my cross stitch which I'm joint up with Sharon on her blog for WIPW, this isn't really a challenge but more of a support group to encourage each other to complete our projects

I have also made a start on some hexagons which I'm hoping will eventually turn into a quilt but its in its very early stages so no photos yet but hopefully I'll have some next week
